How To Organise Your Peer-Coaching Learning Group
Beki will email you on Monday 2nd March introducing you to the other members of your learning group.
Email your group, and agree x3 1 hour slots when you are all available for your peer-coaching practice sessions. The sessions should be between:
Week 1 - Wednesday 4th March 7.30pm (GMT) and Wednesday 11th March 5pm (GMT);
Week 2 - Wednesday 11th March 7.30pm (GMT) and Wednesday 18th March 5pm (GMT);
Week 3 - Wednesday 18th March 7.30pm (GMT) and Wednesday 25th March 5pm (GMT).
You might find Doodle poll helpful to find a time that suits all of you.
Find times when you can use the video conference software (computer or smartphone), can speak aloud without worrying about being overheard, and won’t be distracted.
Although I’ve setup rooms for all of your groups on Daily, you’re welcome to use other video conference software like Skype, Zoom, Facetime, Whatsapp Video, etc. If you’re in a pair, you can even video call via Slack direct messages, using these instructions.

How To Structure A 60 Minute Peer-Coaching Practice Session
1. When all of the members of your learning group have joined the call, agree who will begin in the roles of coach, coachee, and observer.
If there are only two people in your learning group, you will just have a coach and coachee, and you can make the coaching times slightly longer.
Triad 1 (20 mins)
Person 1 - Coach, Person 2 - Coachee, Person 3 - Observer
Coaching conversation (15 minutes)
Reflection, lead by the observer (5 minutes)
Triad 2 (20 mins)
Person 1 - Coachee, Person 2 - Observer, Person 3 - Coach
Coaching conversation (15 minutes)
Reflection, lead by the observer (5 minutes)
Triad 3 (20 mins)
Person 1 - Observer, Person 2 - Coach, Person 3 - Coachee
Coaching conversation (15 minutes)
Reflection, lead by the observer (5 minutes)
2. A possible way to start the coaching conversation, is for the coach to ask the coachee “What would you like to discuss?”
3. At the end of the conversation, when everyone has been coached, confirm when your next practice session will be, and click ‘Leave Room’.
